Castle Rock’s love for the arts is perhaps most evident the weekend after Labor Day‚ when the chamber of commerce presents the highly anticipated Artfest‚ an annual two-day festival in downtown Castle Rock that showcases the work of more than 180 artists from all over the United States. Now in its 20th year‚ Artfest is the largest event in the Castle Rock area‚ drawing upwards of 26‚000 spectators. Musical entertainment‚ cultural dancing‚ food and wine are all part of the family-oriented celebration.
The Castle Rock Recreation Center features 84,000-square feet of fun with specialty workout areas, basketball and racquetball courts, and a leisure pool complete with water slides, spa and lazy river.
